My week!

It's been crazy around here & we had a heat wave. It hit 105 degrees. I swear, it was so hot I felt like I was melting.

Yes, that says 108 degrees. It was so hot all last week, the hottest it's been all year. I'm all for

warm weather but OMG, it was like a slap in the face as soon as you walked outside. I'm sorry about the lack of posts, I've been crazy busy!

We're Moving!

I'm so happy! We got a townhouse that's 7 miles from my work! I'm super excited, our move in date is 9/23. I'll be able to set up a vanity in the second bedroom, as well as an elliptical. Plus, there's a gym in walking distance!

Weekly Weigh In- Week 3 (Again)

As promised here's week 3's weigh in. I'm up .4 of a pound. I'm not upset at all, thanks to PMS & not sleeping very well, i figured I would be up. Plus I haven't been very strict, I'm hoping to start the South Beach Diet but I have a lot of fruit that I didn't want to waste, so I'm holding off right now. I plan on being strict this week because I've got two weeks til vacation & I'd like to be down to at least 150! My mom has been doing Weight Watchers & she's down 23 lbs, her and her friend are in a competition through their work and she just won a Kindle! So we'll be able to stick together when we go on vacation!

Do you have any weight loss tricks or tips?

My Thoughts:

First off, I love the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. The color is rich & they smell like vanilla. I can't decide which one I like better!

As always, the NYX Round Lipsticks are wonderful. Chaos is just amazing with the Plush Red Mega Shine Gloss over it! Hot Pink reminds me of Narcissus, it just has a darker pink tone.

I was hoping Pop & Apricot would have more orange in them, but still perfect for a gloss!

I LOVE the Slim pencils, Orange is just fab & you can never go wrong with a lipliner called Hot Red!!

Ebay Goodies!

I ordered a few things from eBay this week & everything came today. Haha the mailman had to rubber band my mailbox shut!

I got this awesome owl necklace for $1.25. I have a really weird obsession with vintage owls & I saw this & could not resist!

I have this necklace in gold, but i love silver. It was $13.99. I'm a hairstylist & you can rarely find gems geared towards cosmetology!

I forgot to weigh in this morning so I'll weigh in tomorrow. But here's my outfit of the day! The shirt & belt were $7.98 at Burlington, the leggings were $4.50 at Forever 21 & the shoes were $13.99 at Ross!

Good Food, Good Clothes!

I met Dustin at the mall for lunch and I was so excited because he wanted to go to my favorite mall restaurant, Qdoba! Seriously, I shouldn't be eating this but it's SO good. I always get a "naked" (no burrito) Queso Burrito with rice, pinto beans, salsa verde, queso sauce, sour cream & cheeses. I love it so much!!! Haha sorry it looks like a bowl of vomit!

You know I don't go t the mall without buying some things! I got 5 pairs pf panties for $10.50 at Charlotte Russe, a lace tank & a lace shirt for $5 each.
I picked up a few things at Forever 21, a pair of jeans for $10.50, a one shoulder black and white striped shirt for $6.50, a red lace shouldered shirt (which I also have in pink & black) for $6.50 and a new eyelash curler for $2.80.

I love shopping deals!

Date Night with my Besties!

My friend's birthday is Tuesday so we celebrated last night with sushi! I swear, I eat sushi like 3 times a week! The restaurant we went to had AMAZING food, I ended up getting Shumai (steamed shrimp dumplings), California Roll (my favorite) and American Dream Roll. We all ordered different kinds and tried everyone elses! I even tried raw sushi for the first time & it was pretty good! I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures from dinner. Womp Womp.

My hair is getting so long! I used a 1" curling iron and spiral curled it then ran my hands through the curl to break them up into a wave. Then I teased & used lots of hairspray (Kenra 26 Super Hold is my favorite right now!) Here's the end result!:

It's been so hot that I have only been using Bare Minerals as foundation, mascara, bronzer & eyeliner. I feel like everything else just melts off as soon as I step outside.
I'm down 7 pounds and when I bought this skirt it was too tight, but I saw it in my closet & tried it on. It fit perfectly!!! Yay, I love it so much. Plus, everyone commented on how skinny I looked. I haven't been strict this week, but I have been trying to eat fruits and veggies with every meal and stopping when I'm full, not when I'm stuffed! It seems to be working! (the shirt & skirt are Forever 21 & shoes are from Charlotte Russe!)

So, I went grocery shopping at Walmart & Burlington is next door. Why do I go there when I know I will buy stuff? These shoes caught my eye & I comtemplated not buying them, but c'mon! There red & zebra with a buckle! I have royal blue suede shoes that are the exact same look and I love them. I bought the white tee in the background for $3.99 & the shoes are by Dollhouse & i got them for $19.99.

Cherry Culture Haul!

I ordered from Cherry Culture at the end of June & my things came today! I've bought a lot from Cherry Culture, I like their stuff & I typically get my NYX products from them.

Here's what I purchased:

Sinful Colors Neon Collection & Sinful Colors polish in #217 Canary Yellow. I have one yellow polish & it's like a glitter polish, so I thought Canary yellow would be great for summer. The neons are great and I love the green!
All o these are NYX: Eyeshadow Base in White, Glitter Powder in Disco Ball, Jumbo Eye Pencil in Horseradish, & Studio Liquid Liners in Extreme Coffee, Extreme Blue & Extreme Plum Purple. I saw these liners swatched & oh. my. gawd. they are amazing!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 2 (Again!)

I'm really surprised that I'm down almost a pound. I did really well Monday-Friday, but I ate really terrible Saturday and Sunday.Plus, I didn't sleep well at all last night. I didn't fall asleep until 3;30 AM and I tossed and turned all night. I maybe got 3-4 hours of sleep, which is crazy considering I usually sleep 8-10 hours a night. We had company yesterday so we grabbed something quick (McDonald's) and today I am suffering for it. Every time I eat fast food I get a terrible cramp in my stomach the whole next day. You think I would learn!

I'm trying not to be as strict because I'm PMSing and bloated. I'm down so I can't really complain but I REALLY need to step in up because I'm going to have to go wedding dress shopping in the next few months. I'll keep you posted!

Holy Mail!

You've got mail?

Yes, all of this was jammed in my mail box today! I was so excited to open the packages!! I got my "South Beach Diet" book, 2 "Eat This, Not That" Books (one for the supermarket & one for dining out..) I have to admit that these books are amazing & so full of awesome information! The dress has a retail tag for $49.95, i got it on EBay for $13.99. It's a yellow based floral pattern on a silky fabric with an awesome exposed zipper in the front. I love good deals on clothes!! I got 4 new magazines (YAY) & even better Cosmo has Kim K on the cover & Shape has Audrina. Love them!

I've had a rough week full of stress & my boo brought me my favorite dinner.. SUSHI! I've been craving sushi so bad & he knew so he surprised me! How cute!?

I can't wait to play with these!

I got my nails done & I have never heard of the line "Rosy" but the is Lilac. I have to say that I ADORE this color! It's the perfect purple pink!

On a separate note: I got my South Beach Diet book & I'm hoping to start on 7/18. This is going to be hard because I love carbs, but I really need to do something. I've felt super down lately about my weight & I've been trying to eat healthy but when you eat junk for 2 weeks it's so HARD to get back to eating healthy. Plus, whenever I start eating healthy again, my skin goes crazy & break out! (Notice that I haven't show my face all week? Yep, I've got small village of pimples on my chin!)

Weigh In -Restart Week 1

Yes, it's time that I get back to eating healthy & working out. I'm surprised, it's been about 2 weeks (I've been eating JUNK) but I am still down 4.6 pounds. I have been keeping fairly active & I spent all day yesterday cleaning. I met a friend's cousin this weekend & she lost 40 pounds on South Beach, I ordered the book on EBay for $3.50 & I think I'm going to give it a try. You cut most carbs the first 2 weeks and the gradually introduce them back into your diet. (Good Carbs only!) But I've read reviews & people typically lose 7-12 pounds those first 2 weeks. It's worth a try! Plus, once we move, I'm getting an elliptical and doing an hour 6 days a week.

As I mentioned above, I've been cleaning my bedroom over the weekend. Look how crazy this is.. here's my closet before I moved winter & summer clothes (still full with clothes)..
This is all dirty laundry! 4 wash baskets worth!!

And this is my bed.. covered in clean laundry...

Don't worry, It's all put away! I'll show you pictures on Friday after I sweep & mop the floor!

I was bored today & I realized that there is a small mall close to me, so I decided to check it out. To my surprise they had some cute stores & I picked up a few things.

Charlotte Russe:

So about a week ago, Charlotte Russe sent an email flyer for "Pin Me Up", which is a vintage pin up inspired section & I fell in love with the shirt on it. But my local Charlotte didn't have it & it was sold out online. I was so bummed. Well, the Charlotte at this mall had it!!!! The jeans are wide leg & stretch (perfect for bloated days!) and were on sale for $16.99. The shirt is the middle is the one mentioned above. It's stretchy with a knot front, the lavender lace shirt was on sale for $10 and I got the earrings for free with my purchase!

There's a little store called "Strawberry" which I've heard my friends talk about. It reminds me of a Wet Seal /Forever 21. I got 50% off everything, the crop top has a lace waistband and lace on the sleeves it was $7. The khaki capris were $6 & the grey romper was $5!

Saturdays are for SHOPPING!

Nothing makes me feel better after a long week than some retail therapy!!

Forever 21:

Yes, I love this store. I could buy everything in there if I had the money! I picked up a black & pink 3/4 lace sleeve top. You can never go wrong with basic shirts. They were $6.50 each. The floral "dress" was $11.50. I have to wear it as a shirt because it doesn't cover my butt (like most of there dresses!) Ah, the joys of being tall. I also got Love & Beauty Gold Perfume. It was $12.80. I have the regular Love & Beauty perfume , but this one smells so much different. More of a musky scent than a floral scent. It smells so good! I have sunken to a new low. I bought panties to avoid doing laundry!! I've lived in my apartment for 13 months & I have done laundry twice. Yep. 2 times. I have so many clothes it's crazy. But I am slowly running out of bras and panties so I'll have to actually do it. BOO! These are from Charlotte Russe. 5 pairs for $10.50 which is great when Victoria's Secret isn't having a sale! I also picked up Refuge Nights perfume. I have Charlotte's regular perfume (which I love & get tons of compliments on) but this one has a really nice scent. I can smell a touch a vanilla in it. It was $10.50 (steal) and I'm sure I'll be wearing it pretty often.

I love Burlington. The romper on the left was $9.99 & I feel in love with it but they only had a medium & an XL so I picked up the medium. I was certain I would have to return it, but it fits! This is the first one I have purchased and I am so glad I bought it! I bought the shoes to match it for $7.99. The next shirt (middle) is see through from the bust down but it's super feminine & would be great to wear out or just to work. Plus, it's got ruffles & a really nice pattern. I paid $7.98 for it. Last, I got this black and white tunic shirt (with a belt). I adore the buttons, they are rhinestones! It was $9.99.
I used to love Wet Seal, but I'm finding it harder to buy stuff from there (unless it's on sale). The jeans were $10 and they are tall so I can wear them with heels & I don't have to worry they'll be too short. You can never have enough sunglasses & for $3 each I couldn't resist. I also picked up this leopard tube top (which I also have in pastel colors) for $7.80. I love the other one so I thought this would be great to have also!
