I'm Back From Punta Cana & I'm Married!!!

It feels like I have been gone forever! But I am finally home, in light of Hurricane Sandy!
I want to start by saying my wedding last Saturday (10/20/2012) was absolutely amazing, it truly was one of the best days of my life!I don't think I have ever been so nervous or stressed but everything went so smoothly. I only have a few pictures from friends but I wanted to share a few from the wedding & a few from the honeymoon.
Here's after the ceremony, I did all of my own makeup. It's all MAC & it stayed perfect all day & evening.

Cutting our cake, How beautiful did our cake come out!?
My Dad walking me down the aisle, I tried so hard not to cry but I really couldn't help it!
Our first dance!
6 of my 7 gorgeous bridesmaids!
We went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for our honeymoon. I can't even begin to describe how stunning it was! This was the view from our balcony!
We got down there Sunday afternoon & the Hurricane hit Wednesday but it passed over us & hit the other side of the island in Haiti & Santa Domingo. However, it hit the east coast (I live in PA) so it was a terrible trip home.
(On our balcony)
First our bus broke down on the way to the airport, then our flight out of Punta Cana was delayed by 2 hours (the airport has no air conditioning & it was 90 degrees!) We flew right over Hurricane Sandy & the turbulence was terrifying! We landed for our second flight at 8:45 & had to run across the airport to make it through customs & board our plane by 9.
(The court yard)
Plus, I have a terrible cold! But I can't complain, I had an amazing wedding & honeymoon plus I'm off til Wednesday!
(Caribbean Ocean)
Since I just bought a huge MAC Haul, you can expect to see a bunch of looks soon!

HUGE MAC HAUL (PIC HEAVY)

I am so excited! I ordered a small MAC haul about a month ago to try a few things out, well needless to say, I loved everything I received. I applied for a MAC Pro Card to get a discount (I'm a licensed cosmetologist) & waited ever so impatiently to get it in the mail. I had an order sitting in my cart on MAC's website & Wednesday it came in the mail. So I placed an order Friday afternoon. Now, I want you to know, YES I spent a lot of money. However, I do weddings & will be able to make the money back. (It's justifiable right?) On to the goodness!:
Here's a picture of everything I ordered. 3 eye liners,  1 liquid foundation, 1 concealer, 1 bronzing powder, 1 powder foundation, 16 eye shadows & 4 lipsticks.
Here's the Custom eye shadow palette, liquid eye liner, pencil eye liner & gel eye liner. All the eye liners are black. You'll see the eye shadows below!
These are the amazing eye shadows I ordered. I cannot wait to try them, I do have another MAC 4 eye shadow palette. I ordered 15 to fill the custom palette & one that I had to have!
In no particular order, I purchased: Sketch, Vanilla, Woodwinked, Shroom, Freshwater, Plum Dressing, Humid, Gorgeous Gold, Amber Lights, Patina, Contrast, Satin Taupe, Sumptuous Olive, All That Glitters & Vibrant Grape.
I also purchased Tempting, which I am so glad I didn't pass up!
The palette was nicely wrapped, it came in a heavy paper bag & this box. All of the eye shadows come separately & you just pop them in the palette however you prefer. I chose to do neutrals & then brights.
I have read awesome reviews about all 3 liners. I picked up the pencil liner or Eye Kohl in Smolder (black), I also decided to try their liquid eye liner or Liquidlast Liner in black & gel liner or Fluidline in Blacktrack.
I purchased Russian Red lip stick & I am obsessed. So much that I'm wearing it on my wedding day (SATURDAY!) I purchased 4 gorgeous shades!
As always, MAC has sleek black packaging & the color is always amazing!
Here's the color's I picked up this order: Creme Cup, Impassioned, Myth & Saint Germain.
And here you can see the colors: Saint Germain, Myth, Impassioned & Creme Cup.
Last are the face products. I got mainly face products last time & I love them, however, I think the Pro Longwear foundation is a little too heavy on my skin. I also noticed that it caused some minor break outs which I should have figured but since I was so excited to try the products I slapped them on. Not a good idea 2 weeks before your wedding! I still use the Studio Finish Concealer every single day because it's AMAZING but I have been sticking to Bare Minerals. Anyway, this time I ordered Studio Fix Foundation Plus in NC30 (I have it in NC25 but I have been tanning). I ordered Studio Fix Fluid in NW20 & I'm going to mix it with Pro Longwear in NC30. I also picked up a Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden & Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20.
The camera really washes the color out. They are much darker in person!
After the wedding, I will be swatching & reviewing everything!
Do you think MAC is worth the price or is it all just hype?

Fyrinnae Immortality, The Book of The Dead, Steam Punk, Bastet & Are You My Mummy

Are you sick of swatches yet!?
I have one more round after these five & then a whole bunch of Glamour Doll Eyes swatches!
Immortality
What Fyrinnae says:
A rainbow of sparkle in soft black.
My Thoughts:
I LOVE this color. I don't know when I'll wear it but it is so gorgeous. I'm not a huge fan of it when it's dry because it's hard to see the sparkle but when foiled, it's amazing. I think I might try it as an eyeliner.
Seriously, look at the rainbow of goodness! The pictures don't do this color any justice. I just can't stop staring at it!!
Book of the Dead
What Fyrinnae says:
A slightly aged gleaming, sparkling beige-gold, fit for Osiris himself (we could hope!), graced with flashes of sparkle in varying hues. Neutral tone, not yellow. Halloween 2011
My Thoughts:
I love golds, I have tons of them. This color is so pretty. I like it dry or wet, I use it dry for my eyelid color fairly often.
Can I just say, I love the names for the eye shadows too? So clever & catchy!
Bastet
What Fyrinnae Says:
Deep, velvety black filled with gold sparkle. Great as a liner.
My Thoughts:
Another black based shadow! It's weird because I love them but I rarely wear them. I've been tanning & I feel like when my skin tone is darker I can pull off darker eyeshadows.
I love this shade, I think this would look really great with a forest green eye shadow. It looks kind of chalky when it's dry but when it's foiled or over Pixie Epoxy it's absolutely amazing!
Steam punk & Are You My Mummy are Arcane Magic Shadows which means..
Fyrinnae's Arcane Magic Eyeshadows are specialized colours with a highlight that changes hue depending on how the light hits it (closer to or further from a light). Different light sources may show different shades, too (they do not show as well in sunlight as artifical light, and some may not appear to change at all). Please note that the Arcanes will probably look a little different in photos than in person because of the light-change effect.
Steampunk:
What Fyrinnae Says:

Arcane magic Steampunk : A remake of our old Steampunk shade (but better!), this is an antiqued deep copper on black, with a touch of gold sparkle and hues of pink. Move it toward light or change the angle, and it becomes gold to chartreuse, the black base setting off the vivid highlight while still retaining its Victorian-era depth. Halloween 2011.
My Thoughts:
This color is so weird, it looks different every time I look at it. If you know me, I love anything purple based & to me this looks like a dark plum. I actually like this on better dry because you can really see the shimmer.
I'm pretty sure I will be purchasing many more of the Arcane shadows. They are so unique & gorgeous!
Are You My Mummy?:
What Fyrinnae Says:

Arcane magic: Are you my mummy?: It starts out a vibrant, gleaming emerald green. Closer to light or at an angle this shade takes on a striking deep pink color, almost a maroon. It's not simply a highlight; the entire shadow's hues change.Halloween 2011
My Thoughts:
I really thought I would love this color, but I'm not a huge fan. It's really hard for me to pull of greens becase my eyes are green, I think it ends up washing my skin out. I think I'll be able to use this as a crease color.
It's really shimmery & I do like the color but it is too close to my eye color!
Hope this helps!

I purchased a hair piece...

I don't know if I have talked about my job before, but I work for an internet based hair replacement company. I have been here for just over 4 years & I am considered a Sales Tech, although I can tell you everything you ever wanted to know about hair systems (wigs, toupees, topper or whatever you prefer to call them!) If you ever hear me talk about a video shoot, I do the websites product reviews.
We've been doing training the last couple weeks with a few new lines & we met with Jon Renau's company.
I have been letting my hair grow for about 2 1/2 years now, it gets colored every 6-8 weeks & trimmed too. Since I'm getting married THIS weekend (sooo close!) I don't want to cut bangs or do anything that might screw my hair up. So, at our wig class, they showed us clip in bangs. I have seen these before & I am very intrigued but let's face it, they are expensive. Well, since these matched my hair exactly, they gave them to me for free!!
It has a very small lace front (like a bridal veil material) and then a monofilament (woven nylon material) and a breathable stretch "lace" on the back & sides. It also has 6 small comb clips that snap open & attach to your growing hair and then snap shut so you get a good hold & your wigs not flopping around!
This is actually a synthetic material that is heat resistant (to a point). If you are not familiar with synthetic hair, it usually cannot have any heat applied because it is a plastic fiber & it will melt. I learned this the hard way with synthetic extensions many years back! This can have heat applied, I think up to 300 degrees.
It comes with regrowth or roots which helps give a very natural appearance. One thing I always find with synthetic hair is that it is REALLY shiny. You can matte out the shine with dry shampoo or baby powder.
Here is the before picture, my hair is really nasty here. It really needed to be washed!
And here is with the hair piece! It's a pretty good match, right!? I love that it has shorter layers than my growing hair. I'm going to cut blunt bangs on it after the wedding since I hate growing bangs out!
And here it is from the top. Looks pretty convincing if you ask me. . You can see a little bit of the edge if you get close, I actually wore it up in a pony tail & it looked great too.
Here is the product in the box.
I'll keep you posted on how I like it! :)

Comfort Zone

Hi!
I have a swatch post in progress but Fyrinnae's site is always down so I can't get the information! That's the only thing I don't like about Fyrinnae, their website is ALWAYS down.
So I decided to use Wet N Wild's "Comfort Zone" palette today. I had a video shoot & I find that dark shadows wash my skin out on camera.
So here is today's look (sorry it's in my car):
FACE:
MAC Prolong Wear Foundation in NC 20
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC 30
MAC Studio Finish Powder Plus Foundation in NC 25
NYX Bronzer/Blusher Combo in Sunrise in Bali
EYES:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Wet N Wild "Comfort Zone" Palette
Maybelline Lash Stiletto in Blackest Black
Maybelline Turbo Boost Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
NYX Slim Pencil in White Pearl (lower lash line)
BROWS:
elf  Eyebrow Kit
Milani Eyebrow Kit in Light
LIPS:
NYX Honey
NYX Tea Rose
NYX Whipped Lip Gloss

It's 8 days until my wedding! I am officially panicking!! But, I finally got to pick up my rings (I had to send my engagement ring to be re-coated & deep cleaned) and my wedding band needed to be sized. How gorgeous are they!? I can't wait for you guys to see pictures & such! :)
Have a great night!

Fyrinnae Purgatory, Monarch Butterfly, Te Amo, Snow Leopard & Shenanigans (PIC HEAVY)

Hi!
This post is very picture heavy but I promise it is worth it! I have swatched 5 different Fyrinnae eye shadows & I have to admit they are all absolutely gorgeous.
Purgatory:
What Fyrinnae Says:
Metallic red shines over a black base, making this shade perfect for liner as well.
My Thoughts:
I am a sucker for red/burgundy eye shadows. This is one of the original swatches I saw while researching &  I instantly fell in love. I purchased a lot more black based shadows than I usually would but since it's fall & I will most likely being darkening my hair color I'll be able to wear them. This color is dark but I think it would look gorgeous foiled on as a liner.
I actually like this color dry & foiled. When Fyrinnae eye shadows are dry they do have more fall out, I always do my foundation routine last so it's not an issue. When applied dry, Purgatory is a black base with burgundy sparkles. When it is foiled or applied wet, it becomes a dark burgundy with shimmer.
 Monarch Butterfly:
What Fyrinnae Says:
Deep black with hues of glowing reddish copper shimmer.
 My Thoughts:
This color reminds me of Purgatory, it just has copper colored sparkles instead of burgundy. This would be another great color for Fall. I don't know why but this color makes me think of Halloween!
I assume that I will also use this more as eyeliner than actual eye shadow. I think that this color & Fire Opal would look awesome together!
 Te Amo:
What Fyrinnae Says:
This shade is a glowing iridescent copper highlight, almost ghostly, despite how photos make it appear. A sticky base makes more color come though, but it works well and "glows" over regular primers.
My Thoughts:
I adore this color. It reminds me of Damn Paladins with  pink/red shimmer instead of aqua.I use this dry more than foiled because it light & can be used for the entire eyelid.
This color has become an eye shadow that I use fairly often. I tend to like lighter, warm shades. It's bright, but still office friendly.
 Snow Leopard:
What Fyrinnae Says:
A soft, deep warm taupe shade that has subtle hues of rose. Very versatile.
My Thoughts:
Another favorite of mine. This color is gorgeous, dry & foiled.  It is a basic taupe with a lot of shimmer when dry. However, when it is applied wet, it is  alight brown base with pink shimmer. Depending on the light you look at it in, it is completely different every time you see it.
I wasn't impressed with the color in the pot, probably because I have like 800 other browns/taupes. Once, I started playing around with it, I was hooked. I'm not lying, it is so pretty.
 Shenanigans:
What Fyrinnae says:
A rainbow of sparkle fills rich, metallic gold over a dark base. This shade works well over primer, but you may find it appears best without a sticky base. Shenanigans is a replacement for Medieval Haunting: They're nearly the same metallic finish and gold-on-black color, but this one has multi-color sparkle instead of just silver and gold.
My Thoughts:
I was so excited for this color & when I opened my package it was missing. I emailed Fyrinnae & got a response in 3 minutes. Their customer service is awesome. They sent it to me & also sent Bastet as a free sample. I know that they get bombarded with orders so I wasn't upset, I just really wanted this eye shadow! I can't even tell you how amazing Shenanigans truly is. It's a taupe base with multi colored shimmer. It sounds like it would be weird but it works.
You can click on the picture to make it larger & there you will see the sparkles in it. I like this one better when it's foiled because the glitter gets all over my face if I apply it dry.
I took 2 pictures of it in the pot so you can see how much sparkle is really in it. I really can't wait to play around more with these colors!
I hope you've enjoyed this post!
