Wet N Wild " I Got Good Jeans" Swatches & Look

I am so sorry I have been MIA, we got the keys to our townhouse on Wednesday & have been moving! We love our new place! Dustin works for a furniture store, so we got all new furniture delivered Saturday. Once we get everything unpacked, I'll be posting pictures!

So enough about moving & on to the good stuff! I posted about "I Dream of Greenie", one of Wet N Wild's palettes & I loved it. I also picked up "I Got Good Jeans" & decided to give it a try.

Here's the palette:

The shadows are labeled, the gold is for the Eyelid. The navy blue is for the crease & the light blue is for your brow bone.
And here's what I came up with:

I really love these palettes & they are cheap!

Have a good night!

Wet N Wild " I Dream of Greenie" Swatches & Look

Good Evening!

First off, I have 297 followers!? Ohh myy gawwdd, thank you all so much for taking the time to read my blog & comment on my posts! You're all so sweet & I love reading your thoughts!

I've been seeing these Wet N Wild Palettes all over the place & I wanted to try at least one! Well, I stopped by my local K-Mart & picked up, "I Dream of Greenie" & "I Got Good Jeans". I have to admit, green is my favorite color & everytime I see green eyeshadow I'm like drawn to it. Someone once told me that you aren't supposed to wear shadow the same color as your natural eye color, well poppycock! I will wear green eyeshadow until the day I die! The palette comes with 3 gorgeous greens, the first is a baby bluish teal shimmer. The second is a gorgeous right teal & last is a vivid lime green.

For $2.99 you can't complain about the price. The color payoff is more than worth it, these are cheap & fun, plus you could create a ton of different looks with these palettes.

Here's the 2 palettes I picked up.
Swatched: The first is the eyelid color, the vivid lime green. Second is the crease color, the right teal *& last is the highlight color a baby bluish teal. The highlight color is more of a shimmer, the other 2 do have glitter its in them.
Here's the look I did with "I Dream of Greenie" (and how awesome are the names?).

All in all, I LOVE these colors. Plus it's cheap. If you can find them, buy them!

Have a great day!

My 5 Favorite Brushes

I have tons of makeup brushes but I always have a few that I carry in my main makeup bag. These are my favorite brushes right now:

(L to R): E.L.F Studio Complexion Brush, Bare Minerals Concealer Brush, Smashbox #12 Angled Brow Brush, Smashbox Definer #15 Brush, Crown C210 - Small Chisel Fluff Brush

(Sorry they are dirty, I just used them!)

1. The ELF Studio Complexion brush is just awesome. I have the Bare Minerals powder brushes & I love them, however, once you wash them they become very scratchy. It actually irritates my skin, so I was on the search for a powder brush. I read some really great reviews about the Studio Complexion Brush & for $3, it was worth a try. I use it daily with Bare Minerals powder foundation & I wash it once every 4-5 days. It's had minimal shedding & it is so soft still. The only con I've had with ALL of my ELF brushes is that the metal part comes unattached form the handle. (Please do not judge me, but i usually chew a piece of gum and stick it back together! hahaha)

2. Bare Minerals Concealer Brush - I actually use this for concealer & foundation. I've had this brush for years & I've never needed to replace it. It's perfect for powder or cream foundations. The stiffer bristles make it great for blending & I've never seen one bristle shed! It's a little pricey but I got it with Bare Minerals Starter Kit years ago.

3. Crown C210 Chisel Brush - I have the whole brush set, I got it on sale for $29.99 around Christmas. I like most of the brushes but this is my favorite. I mainly use it for applying color to my crease. It's small & it is just fluffy enough to get a perfect amount of product. It also works great for the inner corners of your eye.
4. Smashbox #15 Definer Brush - Oh myy gawd. I love this brush. I dropped it down the crack of my couch cushion & was devastated for like 3 days! I could have cried tears of joy when I found it! I use this to apply all over shadow, for my crease, outer "V" & to blend. It is so soft & easy to work with. I used to work for QVC so I picked up a lot of Smashbox products for cheap.

5. Smashbox #12 Brow Brush - I will never use another brush on my eyebrows. This is the bee's knee's of brow brushes. It's so stiff & makes very precise lines. Since my eyebrows are pretty much non existent, this is like my holy grail of makeup brushes! The only con is I wish the handle was a little shorter, it'd be easier to work with.

Bake Sale!

My work did a fundraiser for National Alopecia Areata month. Alopecia areata affects over 5 million people in the USA (most are children), it causes hair loss in patches & sometimes the hair will grow back & fall out again. There is no known cause or cure. I work for a wig & toupee company & we've helped people with all types of hair loss, so we decided to support NAAF & help them raise some money! So we all baked some goods, set up a table & had a bake sake! I helped work the table today & it was a good time. (We always raise money for MS too!)
It's fairly chilly here & we were outside, so I am so glad I wore a sweatshirt!
I just did winged liner with nude lips!
Dustin had to work but he usually helps with all of our sales!
We had muffins, chocolate covered pretzels, cookies & caramel corm. All were homemade & delicious. I helped myself to some pretzels & muffins! We ended up raising over $500 for today & yesterday and my job will match dollar to dollar!

If you know someone with hair loss that is looking for some help, let me know. I'll give you all my contact information!
Hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday....

... to my future hubby!
Yesterday, Dustin turned 27! We went out & had a nice dinner (a local Irish pub that I adore!) & met a few friends. This has been a huge year for Dustin, he hit one year sober in July. I'm so proud of him! I wish we could have stayed out later but I had to work early today. It was a fun night though!
My Love & I! Almost 5 years together & still going strong!
As you probably know, I'm moving in less than 2 weeks so I packed all my makeup away (except my daily makeup must haves). The only eyeshadow palette I kept in my bag is my MAC palette that has, Shroom, Black Tied, Club & Smut. They are the perfect colors to keep in my bag. Shroom is hands down my favorite highlighter color. Black tied is perfect for a smokey eye, Club is amazing! It goes on a different shade every time I wear it. It's typically a brown toned shadow for me. And Smut is a burgundy black. I made this custom palette last Christmas & I plan on making another 4 piece palette this Christmas!
I'm wearing Shroom all over my lid & Club in the crease.
I have Smut blended with my eyeliner on my lower lid.
I may be MIA for a little due to moving but I promise I'll be back!
I can't wait to show you all my new place!!
All the best,

Smokey Eye

I spent all day today packing but I did have to pick up some things at Walmart. Lucky for me, Walmart just so happens to be right beside Starbucks. I had to get my Caramel Macchiato fix!!

I just did a basic smokey eye with MAC's Back Tied & Smut, I also used Shroom as a highlight. On my lower lid, I used NYX Slim Eyeliner Pencil in teal with NYX Single Eyeshadow in Kiwi.
This is one of my favorite looks, it's versatile. You can switch it up with bright lips or play with the color on your lower lids. (Sorry my skin is oily in this picture, it was HOT out today!)

I have 14 days until I move, so the past week has been filled with PACKING! Can I tell you how much I hate packing. These boxes are just the bathroom, living room & my shoes. I have so much more to pack!

All the best,

*Krystle

15 Weird Facts Tag

I was browsing through a few blogs & I found this on A Beauty Addict's blog. I thought it would be fun to do!

Here are the questions:

My grandparents have always called me "Tink" because I had blonde hair, green eyes & my mom always put my hair up when I was little. (Plus, my Pap says I have Tinkerbell's stubborn attitude!)
What's a weird habit of yours?
I check all my closets & under the bed before I go to bed to make sure there is no one hiding, I even do it before I get into my car. I read a story where a serial killer was hiding in the backseat of a woman's car & now I get all freaked out & have to check!

Haha.. Earth, Wind & Fire - September!
What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
I have a few that are worth mentioning. I hate when people go out of their way to intentionally hurt someones feelings, I don't like when people are racists or homophobic, I don't care what color skin you have or what gender you like, if you respect me, I'll respect you & liars!!!
What's one of your nervous habits?
I bite my nails when I'm nervous.
What side of the bed do you sleep on?
The side closest to the bathroom because I get up like 5 times a night.

It was a bear from my great grandma named Jingles. I still have it in my closet.
What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?
Skinny Caramel Macchiato. YUM!

Washing my makeup off every night. I usually use a make up wipe to remove most of it but my mascara stays on most nights!
Which way do you face in the shower?
Towards the faucet.
Do you have any weird body skills?
I'm double jointed in all of my fingers.
What's your favorite comfort food that's 'bad', but you love to eat it anyway?
Homemade apple pie & ice cream! ohhhh myy gawwd!
What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
Wiggity whack. It started as a joke but i have everyone at my job saying it! (and ohh my gawwwd!)
Time to sleep - what are you actually wearing?
In the summer, shorts & a tank. In the winter, my flannel pj's!

Navy Blue Eyes!

Oh Heyyyyy!
I hope you are having an awesome weekend!
I got NYX Single Eyeshadow in Frosted Ocean & Odyssey and wanted to play with them. It worked perfect because the shirt I wore had navy in it. I also used Navy Narcissus Eye Studio by Maybelline on my eye lid. I have NYX Jumbo Pencil in Pacific on my lower lid.
I like the L'Oreal Eye Studio, but it tends to crease (I have really oily eyelids). I used Odyssey in the crease.
I usually don't like navy with my skin tone but I have been playing around with it for awhile & it's grown on me.
Have a great day!

Cherry Culture Haul!

If you read my blog, you already know that I love Cherry Culture. I haven't found anywhere local that sells NYX products and after the disaster with their huge sale on their website, I'll stick with Cherry Culture. Everything ships quickly, is packed very well & you get free shipping with a purchase of $40 or more.
I'm a huge fan of NYX products, they are cheap & the color payoff (for most of them) is amazing.
I purchased quite a few lip products, the first 3 are NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss. Can I tell you how much I LOVE these? They smell delicious & they are wonderful glosses. I haven't picked up a color that I dislike yet. (Keep in mind, I google swatches before purchasing ANY item from the internet!) I picked up (L to R) African Queen, La La & Natural. I can't wait to test them out! Next, I picked NYX Soft Cream Matte Lip Cream, another favorite product! I picked up Abu Dhabi. I'm not certain this color will work for me but I can always mix it with another matte lip cream. I think it's too brown for my skin tone. The last 5 swatches are from NYX round lipsticks, I think I'm at 25 total round lipsticks. They have so many colors & I adore the names! First up, is Haute Melon, I'm loving coral lippies! next, Cinnamon Sugar, another brown tone, but with it's frosty gleam, I think I'll be able to pull this off! Gardenia is a deep pink. Shiva & Chloe look almost identical, Shiva is a bit more pink.
I picked up 2 NYX Jumbo Pencils, i know a lot of people use them as a base. I also like to use them on my waterline for a pop of color. I purchased Pure Gold & Pacific. I think I have like 30 NYX Slim Eye pencils. I seriously love them. I picked up Sapphire (I'm going through a Navy phase), Yellow & Moss. I also picked up NYX Concealer in a Jar in Light, it's really hard to see in the picture!
I've tried one of NYX Single Blushes before but I really hate the color I chose. SO I decided to try Sand, I usually like more matte bronzers, but this color is gorgeous! I picked out 5 Single Eyeshadows. I bought 1 last purchase I made & I loved it. I picked up Kiwi (bright green), Frosted Ocean (dark navy), Red Bean Pie (reddish burgundy), Champagne (light gold shimmer) & Odyssey (black with blue & purple specks). Odyssey & Frosted Ocean are so awesome (hello, Navy phase!). Overall, I love each color!
Hope these swatches help if you are thinking of purchasing from Cherry Culture!
All the Best,

My Job Is Flooded!

So, if driving in flooded water yesterday wasn't bad enough, the town I work in called a state of emergency.
In the picture, the left hand side has a bridge that is 15 feet above the river. Typically the water is about 100 feet from the rail road tracks. You can see the hand rails for the bridge on the left (and the road on the right). The right side, beyond the tracks is where my job is located. At this point (around noon) the river was at 59 ft.

This is the opposite side of the tracks at 3 PM. The river came up over the railroad tracks an flooded the road. The water is about 8 feet deep here. This was the whole road at 5 PM. The water is level with the railroad tracks and over 350 feet beyond its normal bank. We aren't sure if there is any damage inside the building but my boss & a few local coworkers came in and moved all the major things (computers, phones & equipment) to the second level. Everyone got out safe & we'll be closed until Monday. The Susquehanna River is set to crest at 62.7 feet, 2 feet less then when Hurricane Agnes hit Lancaster County in 1972, on Saturday at 5 AM. I'm just praying that all is well because I love my job.
All the best,

Rihanna Inspired Look

So, this particular look caught my eye (picture from Google) and I wanted to recreate it!
Here's Rihanna's Look:
Here's my Look:
All eyeshadows are from 120 palette. Blush is from a palette. Lips are NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss is Dolly Pink.
WTF is my hair doing!?
Can I just tell you how weird (and awful!) the weather has been. First, we have 2 weeks of the hottest weather I have ever been through, then we have an earthquake (right in the
middle of a video shoot!), then Hurricane Irene hits & now we've had the worst flooding since Hurricane Agnes hit in 1972 (I think?). I'm talking the worst flooding I have ever seen in my 24 years on earth. My usual 20 minute drive to work took 95 minutes because every road was closed. (Plus, I'm terrified of flooding so I never drive through water). Here's a picture from our local News, this is Mount Joy, which is in the area I work. The creek was 7 ft deep across the road. The real kicker... PEOPLE TRIED TO DRIVE THROUGH THIS! No thank you rain, I will obey your demands to close a road!Hopefully, your weather is better than mine!
Have a great night!
