Fyrinnae Blush Swatches in Charm & Enchant

2013 is not turning out the way I planned. So a few days ago, I was experiencing a pain in my upper thigh, it felt like I had sat on glass, however when I looked there was nothing there. Two days later, I had a small, patchy rash in the same area. I thought nothing of it & applied hydro cortisone cream. Well, that tiny rash spread all over my upper thigh & lower back, it has become sore, itchy & unbearable. I finally went to the doctor this morning & I found out I have shingles. Shingles is the same virus as chicken pox, if you've had chicken pox, shingles can lie dormant in your body for years (I had chicken pox at 5 years old). It usually is seen in people over 60 but it can show up when your immune system is run down. I just got over a terrible cold & my body couldn't fight the virus. I can't tell you how awful this has been, it feels like I am sitting on broken glass & itches so bad all the time. Last night I got 2 hours of sleep, I was in complete agony. So now I am on a viral treatment, steroids, sleeping pills & pain medication. So, if your body is telling you something is wrong, GO TO THE DOCTOR!
Enough ranting, on to the goods:
Remember a few posts ago, when I was asking about finding the perfect blush? I think I found it! I ordered a two Fyrinnae blushes, a sample of Charm & a full size of Enchant.
I had been using a few different blushes & I wasn't very satisfied with any of them. Either they had no lasting power or they weren't bright enough.
Charm
Here's what Fyrinnae has to say:
Vibrant cool pink with the slightest touch of shimmer. Lighter than it looks here. Intense color saturation; start with a minimal amount. Our second-most popular blush since 2006. Lip-Safe, NOT eye-safe.
My Thoughts:
I love this cool toned pink. It is very light, but build-able. I tend to go overboard with blush so in my opinion, less is always more, I don't want to look like a clown! This color is lovely!

Enchant:
What Fyrinnae Says:
Vibrant peach with a touch of pink shimmer. Very bright in the jar, but soft once blended. Our most popular blush since 2006. Intense color saturation; start with a minimal amount. Lip-Safe, not eye-safe.
My Thoughts:
Well, this is it. The blush love of my life. This color is bright but it blends REALLY well. I like to tone it down & use it right on the apples of my cheeks. I really can't tell you how much I love this blush & this will last forever, a little bit goes a long way.
And here is a look I did using Enchant, see how above it looks so bright? This is blended in with MAC's Refined Golden Bronzer. I only use it on the apple of my cheek, bronzer as a contour & a big, fluffy brush with powder to buff it all together. Then, I applied MAC's Soft & Gentle  Mineralized Skinfinish under my eyes. The eye shadows are from Wet N Wild "Sparkle Til Morning" palette. (I'll have a review & swatches up this week!)
Hope you like this look!

  1. Wow! The blush looks amazing and totally natural.
As for the shingles....I know they are s'posed to be horribly painful. I am so sorry that you are suffering from them. Perhaps I should ask my doctor if I should get the shingles vacine. Peace.

  2. Thanks! I've been sick for almost 3 months & my immune system was so weak that I couldn't fight the virus, it's never a bad idea to ask about the vaccine!
