I'm Sorry..

It's true, I am sorry, I have neglected my blog. I have so much going on I can barely breathe at the end of each day. I know I posted about losing a close friend last month, well when it rains it pours. My uncle has been battling colon cancer for the past 2 years & he went into remission last July. 3 months ago, we were told that the cancer had come back & spread to his bone marrow. My uncle decided not to undergo any more chemo or radiation treatments because the survival rate was 15%. Last week he was rushed to Hershey Medical Center with severe pain & we were praying my cousin would fly home from Oklahoma in time. Dustin & I went to see him in hospice on Sunday & it was the hardest thing I have ever done. I saw my once 250 pound 6'5" uncle at 130 pounds & I lost it. This morning at 9:00 I got the call that my uncle had passed away. He died peacefully with no pain, and everyone in the family made it home to see him. I spent the day with family & my grandparents who are taking it rough, because let's face it, no parent should out live their child. So please forgive my lack of posting, I am engulfed in sadness & I just need time to grieve. I will be changing my blog around & I promise Ill be back soon.
Hugs,

And I'm Blonde Again

I have been gradually trying to go back to blonde without destroying my hair the past few months. This past time I decided to color most of my hair blonde. First off, I have been growing my hair out for the past 2 1/2 years. I get trims every 8 weeks, I only wash my hair once a week to once every other week. I have very dry hair & I tan and spend a lot of time in the sun.
I had an experience that my friend (and hair stylist) and I have never seen before this time, it was almost a disaster to be honest. I had been swimming a few times in my future in laws pool, which I have never had issues with before. But all of my blonde ends turned bright green. So I purchased a bunch of products, none of which removed the green. Fast forward 2 weeks, I go swimming again & my hair turned teal. I used straight  lemon juice which pulled most of the green out but my ends were still GREEN.
Every place that had green in it broke right off. I have a chunk of hair on my left side that is about 3" long! It came out like chewed gum & when we combed through it, I didn't know if I would have hair left.  After we combed it out, I had her take about 2" off the ends & shorten my layers. Thank goodness it looks alright!
Here it is with the flash:
Here it is without the flash:
And a shot of the top!
I have engagement pictures on August 2nd, so we'll be touching up my regrowth & maybe adding a few smaller platinum highlights on top. I'll be doing a hair tutorial in the next few days on my must haves & how I style my hair!
I hope you're having a great week!

Outfits!

I have been doing some serious lurking on Pinterest, I am obsessed with that website! I've been seeing the cutest outfits & I have actually been printing the pictures and taking them shopping with me! Here are few looks I hope to recreate in the near future:
I won't lie, I typically hate yellow. It's always been one of my least favorite colors. However, I adore this look. I have a darker grey ruffled top & I am working on finding a yellow cardigan & belt. I would prefer to wear this with heels for a more professional look.

This look is awesome! I already have everything but the clutch, but again, I would wear heels or wedges with this look!
I love that this is simple but still chic. I just bought a black & white striped shirt & I have neon yellow flats.
I usually like to have my outfit match but everything in this look is so adorable! I wish I knew where to get the light pink capris because i am in love with them! Those shoes = swoon!
Another simple but professional look! I have the cardigan, but I'm still on the search for a cute button down. I also love the belt here!
I want that blazer! I just hate dropping $40 on one clothing item I might not get as much wear out of!
I got all of these pictures from Pinterest, so I don't know where most of them came from. But if yo0u happen to know where I can get any of these items or the bloggers let me know!
Have a great weekend! :)

Clothes & Makeup (Pic Heavy)

I didn't purchase all of this stuff together, I have accumulated a few things here and there!
My first and favorite purchase is this gorgeous royal blue blazer that i picked up at H&M for $20 on clearance. It was the last one and a size 8. I love it so much!
I also picked up this dress at H&M on clearance for $7, it's a little tight but hopefully when I lose a few more pounds it will fit better.
I got this dress for $12.99 at Burlington. I wasn't sure if it would fit right but it looks really cute & I';ve got a ton of compliments on it. It's simple & easy for a day with friends.
I picked up this shirt in memory of my friend who was killed last weekend, He loved Dubstep & had this shirt, so I picked it up. We're going to all wear them & go our one night.
I dropped a jean size which is awesome. I'd like to say it's from eating healthy & doing the right thing but it's from not eating & stress. However, I have been back to eating clean & exercising like crazy this past week. Last time I weighed myself, I was at 152.4. I'm hoping I can hit 151 by next week. I bought these jeans at Forever 21, which has been offering 34" inseam for the taller ladies! I'm so happy to have pants that aren't super short! I also picked up this blue & purple plaid button down.
I almost passed this tank up but I really liked it for some reason. It was on clearance at Wet Seal for $6 & I'm glad I bought it because I can wear it out or wear it to the gym.
On to my favorite purchases, SHOES! I purchased all of the shoes at Urban Og & I have to give them credit for fast shipping & cheap, quality shoes!
I have been searching for like 3 weeks for the perfect pair of sea foam/aqua colored suede wedges. They had a few options but I have bought Qupid brand before & I know my size so these were what I picked. I believe I payed $25 or $26 for these, I am really not sure. Anyway, they are about 5 1/2" heels. I always love wedges because they are so much easier for me to walk in. I'm thinking about wearing these for engagement pictures.
I really wasn't sure about these shoes, but I needed $8 more dollars to get me to free shipping & they were $12.99. I am so glad I got them! They are very vintage looking, the print reminds me of the 70's!

I've been on the search for the perfect coral pumps & I found these bad boys! I have to admit, they are a little too high for my liking but they are so cute I can't help but wear them. They were $25 I think.

I got this adorable black strapless dress at H&M for $10, I was planning on wearing it for engagement pictures. I ended up wearing this & the blue blazer to my friend's funeral. It's a cute dress.
NYX had a sale for anyone registered as a professional on their site, you got 50% off all of the products. So I spent $60. It came packaged in this adorable lace satchel. I got a ton of new stuff that I haven't even had a chance to play with yet!
Here's a closer view of all the products, I'll be doing a post dedicated to this purchase very soon!
As always, thanks for stopping by & leave comments!
