Wet N Wild Drinking A Glass Of Shine Palette

The last thing I need is new palettes, but when I see Wet N Wild's I cannot help but purchase all of them! I also purchased "Sparkle Til Morning" & I went to get the other one but one of the shadows was broken & it was the last one, so I am going to see if I can find it at another store.
Wet N Wild was one of the brands that I used to hate ( & ELF too!) but since have grown to love. These palettes are so versatile & I love to take them when I travel.
I have to admit, I rarely wear matte colors. I have one hell of a time blending them but I love the teal & blue in this palette. It was $4.99 plus I had a coupon for $1 off.
The packaging is the same as all their other palettes, plain & simple. That works fine for me, if a product works, I don't really care about the packaging.
I don't know why they even include this applicator because I always just throw them away. They are just terrible!
So here are the swatches:
These were all one swipe with my fingertip, no primer.
I love that matte teal & blue!
You can never have enough neutral mattes!
In my opinion, these palettes are a must haves, they are cheap & work great. If you use a good primer ( I always use either Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance) these last forever and are super pigmented. I prefer to use Shadow Insurance with matte shadows, Primer Potion tends to be drier & harder to work with. But, on that note, I find that Primer Potion lasts much longer. There have been nights when I slept in makeup and the only thing that smears is my eyeliner!
Have you tried any of the Wet N Wild palettes?

MAC All That Glitters, Satin Taupe, Black Tied & Freshwater

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
I'm sorry, I have been kind of  busy with work & holiday things. I thought I would do a quick update! First off, Happy Holidays everyone! I was such a Grinch this Christmas, which is so unlike me. I think that I have had such a terrible year, all I care about is 2012 being over. Plus, we're really trying to pay the wedding so we couldn't buy much for each other. I bought Dustin a new wedding band (he lost his on our honeymoon) and he got a few small gifts. He bought me new black diamond earrings (even though I said NO JEWELRY!) and he got me a RG3 Redskins shirt, plus a new blender & can opener. We spent Christmas Eve with his family & his mom got me a sewing machine, I am so excited to start sewing!! My mom put together a really beautiful wedding picture collage.
This look is from about a week ago. I love these colors together, I usually wear the same thing most days which is totally boring but I decided to switch it up a bit. MAC's Freshwater is a very bright, vibrant blue, however, when I put Black Tied (matte black with silver sparkle) it muted the blue & made it all but purple. I always start with All That Glitters (After UDPP) on my entire eyelid, Satin Taupe in my crease & then I applied Freshwater onto the crease and buffed Black Tied over top lightly, just enough to blend everything together. I always use MAC Shroom as a brow highlight & inner corner of my eye highlight.
I switch between MAC's Liquid Liner & Maybelline's Lash Stiletto liquid eyeliner. I love MAC's but once it dries you have to use makeup remover to fix any mistakes. Lash Stiletto is more forgiving, I can use water and a Q-Tip to fix any mistakes. I love, love love Maybelline's Turbo Volume Waterproof mascara right now, works awesome!
I used MAC's Refined Golden Bronzer, which is my favorite bronzer. I'm still looking for the perfect blush, right now I am using a few different kinds, nothing that I love. And I adore MAC's Soft & Gentle highlighter.
For my lips, I keep it simple for work. I used MAC's Myth with Nymphette Lip Glass on top.
I hope everyone had a great Holiday & hopefully 2013 will be a wonderful year!

MAC All That Glitters & Freshwater

Hi,
I hope you are enjoying your day!
This has to be my favorite way to wear my hair wavy, I like the looser waves. I usually curl it the night before & sleep on it. It really depends because my hair is so long & thick that it tangles REALLY bad if I don't wear it up. (Please don't look at my regrowth, I haven't had my hair done since the wedding!)

EYES:

MAC All That Glitters
MAC Freshwater
MAC Liquidlast Eyeliner in Black

LIPS:

I don't know why but I hate blues on my eyes, even though Freshwater is really vibrant, I blended for a little while to mute it out. I can pull it off if I'm tan but in winter when I'm pale & pasty, not happening.
Have a great day! :)

Raspberry Crush

I tried something a little different this time around & used a brighter lip gloss than I would normally wear. I also made it fairly close the the colors that I have used on my eyes.

I love this color & it was maybe a $1, I got a while ago at Walmart. I will say one thing that I hate is the smell. It is so sweet smelling that it almost makes me sick.  I do find that I need to reapply this fairly often & it quite sticky. I like it because it's cheap & the packaging is small enough that I can toss it in my purse. I'd probably prefer to use MAC's Impassioned with NYX Whipped over top which would give about the same effect but I think it would last longer & give a better color payoff. I guess I'll have to try & see. :)

We had our first snow of the year. I hate snow because it makes people drive crazy & it's scary to drive in but it does look gorgeous. I can't complain though because we've had a warm winter & it hit 64 degrees the other day which is weird. I had to remind myself it was December & not April (although I wish it was April!).
I also have to tell you that I am putting away a giveaway & I am super excited because I will be giving away a few of my favorite products! I just placed an order through Fyrinnae (an Indie company that I am in love with!) and once that package comes I'll be all set & ready to enjoy the gift of giving!

Have a wonderful day!

MAC All That Glitters, Sketch & Plum Dressing

Hi! I told you guys I was using my curling wand like crazy lately! It's much wavier than I like to wear it in this picture, but it loosens up throughout the day. I don't curl the top of my hair just about 2" down because I have super thick hair & I end up looking like Side Show Bob (do you remember him from the Simpson's!).

I just need to take a second & brag about my coat. I really didn't need another coat because I have SO many but this adorable gem was on clearance for $13. I could not pass it up. I also got the most amazing Steve Madden wedges that I have to show you all soon!
Hope you liked today's look!

MAC Satin Taupe & Freshwater

I don't know if I will ever be sick of MAC's eye shadows, I use them so often that I almost feel guilty for all of the other eye shadows I own because lately they haven't been getting used! Again, this is All That Glitters & Satin Taupe, but I decided to switch it up a bit. I used Freshwater over Satin Taupe & it looks so awesome. I rarely wear bright blues unless I'm tan because I feel like they wash my skin out & make me look ill. But, I could not resist purchasing Freshwater because it's so bright & gorgeous. After taking a few minutes to decide how the heck I was going to pull this color off, I decided to mute it down with Satin Taupe, which is a shimmery muted brown. I was really surprised, it looks more like a gun metal grey than blue, but either way it's so pretty. I got compliments all day on my eye shadow.
Piddle was not as excited as I was about taking a picture & please excuse my clothes rack in the background!

I haven't worn my hair straight in such a long time & I can really tell it's grown. It needs a trim & now that the wedding is over I'm going to cut a few inches off so it's not as damaged. I think I'm going to throw some low lights in too. I'm really tempted to do reverse ombre, where it's light on top & dark at the ends but who knows!
I got this necklace in lime & pink on EBay for $9.99 each which was a lot cheaper than most of the other places it was retailing. I love it but it is SO heavy! The shirt was on clearance at Forever 21 for $7.99, it's got gold & bronze sequins on the sleeves but it's almost like a crop top which I hate. I have a long torso & it's already hard for me to find shirts that are long enough!! You can't really see but my peep toe heels match the color of my shirt exactly, the camera did not pick up the color accurately.
Have a great weekend!

MAC All That Glitters & Satin Taupe Look

Hi! I feel like it's been so long since I've had a chance to write! This time of year is always so crazy for me. We're super busy at my job so I have been putting in long hours & I've been trying to spend some quality time with family & friends.
This look is from about a week ago, I have been wearing my hair like this pretty often. I use the Conair Infiniti You Curl wand, which I purchased a LONG time ago & barely used because I thought it made my hair look weird. I looked up some YouTube video's and realized you have to curl away from your face! Since then, I have been wearing my hair like this a few days a week. I take 1" sections & curl it the night before, that way it's much looser waves in the morning, I usually just touch up the front a little bit, tease the top & I'm good to go in about 15-20 minutes. It does take about 30 minutes to curl my whole head, my hair is super thick & pretty long but I can wear it about 2-3 days with just touch ups in the mornings.
I need to tell you how obsessed I am with MAC's All That Glitters & Satin Taupe. I cannot stop wearing them! I use All That Glitters on my eyelid & Satin Taupe in my crease, sometimes I will use another color blended with Satin Taupe but there really isn't a need because they work perfect together.
Here I am wearing:
FACE:
Urban Decay Face Primer
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC30
MAC  Studio Fix Fluid in NW20
MAC Studio Fix Foundation Plus in NC30
MAC Pronzer in Refined Golden
MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle
MAC Blush in Gingerly
 EYEBROWS:
elf Eyebrow Kit in Medium
Milani Eyebrow Kit in Light
EYES:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Satin Taupe
MAC All That Glitters
MAC Liquidlast Eyeliner in Black
NYX White Pearl liner
LIPS:
MAC Angel
MAC Lipglass in Nymphette
Wow, my mirror is really dirty but this was the outfit from the same day. You know, I thought this scarf was black & gold paisley until halfway through the day& then I realized it was navy & gold. I got it on sale for $6 at Burlington. The shirt is a basic black 3/4 sleeve with lace on the top of the sleeves & just regular skinny dark wash jeans.  The shoes are my favorite part of the outfit.
My favorite pair of black flats ripped & I had to get a new pair. There is a store called the Shoe Department in my local mall and every time I go there I spend way too much on shoes! They always have the cutest shoes & they are so cheap! I picked up just a basic pair of black ballet flats, I also grabbed these amazing studded loafers for $14.98. They are super comfortable & so adorable!
Thanks for reading!

WEDDING PICTURES!

I finally got my wedding pictures back yesterday & I can't wait to show you guys! I was willing to spend more money on wedding pictures because that's what you end up keeping forever. I am so happy with how they turned out! :)

My husband, Dustin & I!

MAC HAUL

I know, I know, another MAC Haul, this will be the last one for a long time. I love their makeup but damn, I'm broke after the wedding! I have been on quite a shopping spree lately & I need to save in 2013. My husband travels for work & left for 14 days yesterday. I find that when I am bored I want to shop & eat, both of which I shouldn't be doing! I really hate when he's gone, I hate being alone at night so I barely sleep but such is life. Anyways on to my haul..
(Haha look at Butters in the background, that cat is a nut!) I always love the way MAC packages, it looks so cute & neat! I also have to compliment their shipping, it shipped on Tuesday & I had it Thursday morning.
 Here's what I ordered: 1 blush, 1 mineralized skin finish, 2 brushes, 1 cheek & lip color, 1 studio fix powder, 1 bronzer, 2 lipglasses & 3 lipsticks.
Of course, my cat couldn't leave his paws off of things! I moved him twice and he kept sneaking back into the picture! I love the way MAC's products are packaged, they always look so sleek & simple.
I picked up Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle, I've been looking for a highlight that isn't too light. I also grabbed a Studio Finish Powder Foundation in NC40, I have NC25 & NC30 & needed something a little darker. I wanted a matte bronzer so I chose Bronze. I've reasearched Gingerly blush for awhile & decided to try it. My favorite purchase from the haul is MAC's
Casual Color in Out for Fun. It's for lips & cheeks & the color is just a gorgeous coral.
The three lipsticks I picked up were Angel, Please Me & Lady Danger. The lip glasses I got were Underage & Nymphette.
The 2 brushes I chose were the 203 Small Angle Brush & the 217 Blending brush.
I've been working a lot & I haven't had the chance to play with any of these but I can't wait to do some fun looks & show you! :)

I'm Back From Punta Cana & I'm Married!!!

It feels like I have been gone forever! But I am finally home, in light of Hurricane Sandy!
I want to start by saying my wedding last Saturday (10/20/2012) was absolutely amazing, it truly was one of the best days of my life!I don't think I have ever been so nervous or stressed but everything went so smoothly. I only have a few pictures from friends but I wanted to share a few from the wedding & a few from the honeymoon.
Here's after the ceremony, I did all of my own makeup. It's all MAC & it stayed perfect all day & evening.

Cutting our cake, How beautiful did our cake come out!?
My Dad walking me down the aisle, I tried so hard not to cry but I really couldn't help it!
Our first dance!
6 of my 7 gorgeous bridesmaids!
We went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for our honeymoon. I can't even begin to describe how stunning it was! This was the view from our balcony!
We got down there Sunday afternoon & the Hurricane hit Wednesday but it passed over us & hit the other side of the island in Haiti & Santa Domingo. However, it hit the east coast (I live in PA) so it was a terrible trip home.
(On our balcony)
First our bus broke down on the way to the airport, then our flight out of Punta Cana was delayed by 2 hours (the airport has no air conditioning & it was 90 degrees!) We flew right over Hurricane Sandy & the turbulence was terrifying! We landed for our second flight at 8:45 & had to run across the airport to make it through customs & board our plane by 9.
(The court yard)
Plus, I have a terrible cold! But I can't complain, I had an amazing wedding & honeymoon plus I'm off til Wednesday!
(Caribbean Ocean)
Since I just bought a huge MAC Haul, you can expect to see a bunch of looks soon!

HUGE MAC HAUL (PIC HEAVY)

I am so excited! I ordered a small MAC haul about a month ago to try a few things out, well needless to say, I loved everything I received. I applied for a MAC Pro Card to get a discount (I'm a licensed cosmetologist) & waited ever so impatiently to get it in the mail. I had an order sitting in my cart on MAC's website & Wednesday it came in the mail. So I placed an order Friday afternoon. Now, I want you to know, YES I spent a lot of money. However, I do weddings & will be able to make the money back. (It's justifiable right?) On to the goodness!:
Here's a picture of everything I ordered. 3 eye liners,  1 liquid foundation, 1 concealer, 1 bronzing powder, 1 powder foundation, 16 eye shadows & 4 lipsticks.
Here's the Custom eye shadow palette, liquid eye liner, pencil eye liner & gel eye liner. All the eye liners are black. You'll see the eye shadows below!
These are the amazing eye shadows I ordered. I cannot wait to try them, I do have another MAC 4 eye shadow palette. I ordered 15 to fill the custom palette & one that I had to have!
In no particular order, I purchased: Sketch, Vanilla, Woodwinked, Shroom, Freshwater, Plum Dressing, Humid, Gorgeous Gold, Amber Lights, Patina, Contrast, Satin Taupe, Sumptuous Olive, All That Glitters & Vibrant Grape.
I also purchased Tempting, which I am so glad I didn't pass up!
The palette was nicely wrapped, it came in a heavy paper bag & this box. All of the eye shadows come separately & you just pop them in the palette however you prefer. I chose to do neutrals & then brights.
I have read awesome reviews about all 3 liners. I picked up the pencil liner or Eye Kohl in Smolder (black), I also decided to try their liquid eye liner or Liquidlast Liner in black & gel liner or Fluidline in Blacktrack.
I purchased Russian Red lip stick & I am obsessed. So much that I'm wearing it on my wedding day (SATURDAY!) I purchased 4 gorgeous shades!
As always, MAC has sleek black packaging & the color is always amazing!
Here's the color's I picked up this order: Creme Cup, Impassioned, Myth & Saint Germain.
And here you can see the colors: Saint Germain, Myth, Impassioned & Creme Cup.
Last are the face products. I got mainly face products last time & I love them, however, I think the Pro Longwear foundation is a little too heavy on my skin. I also noticed that it caused some minor break outs which I should have figured but since I was so excited to try the products I slapped them on. Not a good idea 2 weeks before your wedding! I still use the Studio Finish Concealer every single day because it's AMAZING but I have been sticking to Bare Minerals. Anyway, this time I ordered Studio Fix Foundation Plus in NC30 (I have it in NC25 but I have been tanning). I ordered Studio Fix Fluid in NW20 & I'm going to mix it with Pro Longwear in NC30. I also picked up a Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden & Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20.
The camera really washes the color out. They are much darker in person!
After the wedding, I will be swatching & reviewing everything!
Do you think MAC is worth the price or is it all just hype?
